Welcome to The Valley Tayrona Hostel, located just outside the city of Santa Marta along the Caribbean coast of Northern Colombia. Here you can explore the most magnificent wildlife like tucans and monkeys, jungle hikes, beaches, secluded rivers and truly incredible waterfalls. We are located next to the entrance of Tayrona Park. Which makes it a convenient location for most travellers to start their Tayrona Park adventure.

Enjoy our little jungle paradise full of Toucans and all kinds of colorful birds. If you look closely you can spot Titi-monkey families passing by every morning. Or just sit back and relax making friends with follower travelers. We offer installed huge hammocks throughout our hostel with views that just cannot be beat, especially with incredible sunsets that settle beyond the Sierra Nevada mountains daily.
ACCOMMODATIONS
We have a variety of options for all travelers on different budgets. With our dorms we offer comfortable beds, beautiful jungle views and shared showers. We also have options for semi-private rooms for couples on a budget that vary from standard to deluxe. Of course there are Superior Room options as well offering the privacy some desire in the jungle.

Enjoy our beautiful sunset bar after a day hiking in Tayrona or tubing down the magical Buritaca river. Even if you just arrived from Santa Marta and need to unwind at our bar it will give you everything you need. Don’t miss out on our killer cocktails served by our very own tropical bar staff. Just sit back relax, have a drink, and share some stories with your fellow travelers!
Restaurant
We are food-lovers by heart, and our chefs can make you the most delicious food. It is our challenge to surprise your taste buds! We update our menu every month to make sure we are always improving!
Our food is colorful, full of different meat and vegetables, including different flowers from our garden. And yes, of course we also offer a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options!

There are plenty activities to do around the hostel like visiting the Tayrona National Park (1 min by bus), snorkeling at Tayrona Park, do the jungle and waterfall hiking tour of Machete Sam (pick-up at the hostel), go tubing down the Guachaca River, visit the Pozo del Amor natural pools, Pozo Encantado waterfall, Quebrada Valencia waterfalls, Playa Los Cocos beach, Mendihuaca Beach, visit the El Saltillo Waterfall, visit Finca Selvita to go on a cacao tour, cacao ceremonies at our neighbor Merkaba Elixer Lounge, horseriding tour, and various other activities. Yes, we are a 15 min walk + 1 minute busride away from The National Park while being surrounded by colorful 200+ birds and 2 types of monkey species.
Yes, we can arrange transportation services from the airport, Santa Marta, Cartagena and Baranquilla, to and from our hostel for you. Please contact us in advance to arrange the transportation.
Yes, our front desk can assist you with booking tours and activities around the hostel. Also for the Lost City Trek and the alternative Lost City (Bunkuany).
Yes, we have laundry service available for guests.
Yes, we accept cash, credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard). Note that in this coast most payments are made in cash, so before coming to the coast, we recommend to take out cash for the park entrance and other activities.
